Upgrading from prior to 2.4.1?
Windows/OS X : Due to data directory upgrades, we recommend against an in-place upgrade. To get the latest version, please back up your data, uninstall, manually remove your data directory, then reinstall the new version. Your data directory is located here:
- Windows:
%USERPROFILE%\.opengeo\
(Example:C:\Documents and Settings\Username\.opengeo\) - OS X:
/opt/opengeo/suite/
Linux : The "medford" PostGIS database will be deleted and recreated on upgrade. So if you have any data in that database that you would like to keep, please back it up prior to upgrading (using pg_dump is recommended).
