Seriously open source.
OpenGeo prides itself in its commitment to open source. Not “open” in license alone, we always contribute back to the communities whose software we support.
Our experts are prominent members of these communities: core contributors and steering committee members.
We have chosen to support the best-of-breed in open source geospatial solutions. Each is a standalone project which you can download and use independently. By nurturing the project communities, we ensure our customers more reliable and flexible software than the proprietary competition.
For Users
Our software’s users are as important to our communities as our developers. Your engagement and feedback is essential for the improvement of our projects.
Have an interest in geospatial software but are new to the stack? Download it and try it!
Have questions or comments on a particular piece of our software? Get involved and email it to the mailing list!
We welcome you as part of our community.
For Developers
We could not offer to support such great software without their communities’ many brilliant developers.
If you are already a developer working on one of the projects we work with, thanks! We could not do this without you.
If you are a developer with an interest in geospatial or open data, then we encourage you to look around these pages and get involved. Our developers are given time to help new contributors like you.
Gallery
Our gallery features links to real-world applications using the OpenGeo Suite or underlying technology, including PostGIS, GeoServer, and GeoExt. There are links to real applications, some of which are in production right now serving thousands of users.
Our Projects
Both editions of the OpenGeo Suite integrate production-ready open source web mapping components into a single package.
GeoNode is an open source platform that facilitates the creation, sharing, and collaborative use of geospatial data.
Each of our core technologies also stands alone as a software project, and has its own community worth checking out.
